Fitter
We are seeking an experienced fitter who has worked with railway gangs. Responsibilities include routine plant maintenance, small engine repairs, alterations to rail equipment including levers, derailers, points and crossings and fabrication of some components. Work is mostly based at our West Footscray depot with a requirement to travel into rural Victoria at times to complete works for V/Line in relation to turntables, greasepots and other operational requirements. A willingness to work with track personnel on routine track repair and construction works from time to time is essential. You will be required to complete a medical examination and track awareness induction training.
